Cycling holidays in the beautiful Dordogne. Small hotel situated just 17km from Bergerac, specialising in activity holidays for adults. All inclusive basis with food, drinks and all onsite activities provided, including free use of a wide range of cycles to explore the surrounding countryside. | |  | Le Grand Fougueyrat is a converted 18th century barn set in 40 acres of beautiful Dordogne countryside in the south west region of France. Specialising in activity holidays, we welcome people of like minds looking for a fun packed week of 'sporting' activity, wining, dining, laughing and chatting.This year we are offering cycling holidays having just invested in a wide range of cycles for your use.Other onsite activities include Clay Pigeon shooting, .22 Rifle shooting, Boules, Skittles, Tennis, Table Tennis, Badminton, Golf practice, not to mention an after dinner quiz and other surprises too! Don't be concerned about your sporting prowess - although we do get the odd Sue Barker lookalike on the Tennis court, Ronnie Barker is more the norm. Our unique figure of 8 swimming pool provides the ideal place to cool off after a morning's cycling, however, you may prefer to relax with a cold glass of wine in the Jacuzzi. We have 10 ensuite bedrooms, one of which has wheelchair access/facilities and eight of which open onto the pool/patio area. Weeks run from Tuesday to Tuesday to accomodate cheap flights into Bergerac airport and free transfers are provided by your host, Tony. Generally, we operate a 'kids free zone', in the selfish pursuit of peace and pleasure for us older kids.However, we do offer a couple of weeks each year where families with children are welcome. |  | | St. Julien is situated just 15 minutes from Bergerac airport, where flights are available from Birmingham, Bristol, Southampton and Stansted. The pretty market towns of Eymet and Issigeac are within close proximity and have traditional french markets on Thursdays and Sundays respectively. Excellent shopping can be found in Bergerac, whilst places of historical beauty such as Beynac, Salat and Dome are due East of here along the banks of the Dordogne river. Heading West, you come to the wine producing region of Bordeaux, also providing great shopping, and the world reknowned vineyards of St. Emillion. To the North is the idyllically situated town of Brantome and most weeks, weather permitting, we canoe down the beautiful Dordogne and picnic opposite the picturesque village of Roque Gageac, where the little houses are built into the rock.
